Horseback Riding Up Pacaya Volcano

We had an awesome time with our new friends from Alabama on Sunday horse back riding (well most of us) up the Pacaya volcano. There were amazing views and we roasted marshmallows in the heat from underneath the lava rocks!

Tikal Mayan Ruins

We had a blast waking up at 4:00 am to go and explore the ancient uncovered Mayan ruins in Tikal. Climbing up the unending stairways was quite exhausting. Out of all the difficulties we still had an amazing time. Currently, we are having lunch/dinner at a wonderful little restaurant in Flores Guatemala, an island in the middle of Lake Peten.

Heading Home

Today we will be flying home and arriving in the evening time. I'm so thankful that y'all took the time to track our adventures through Central America! It has blessed our family.

Pics From The Orphanage

We went again to the orphanage where the children with cerebral palsy live. This time they let us take a few pictures. This one kid named Jairo, he was 8, was holding my hand almost the whole time. The time that he did not, he followed me around. This cutie is totally my BFF from Guatemala!😝

Ryker's Birthday Dinner

We had the awesome oppurtunity to eat and spend Ryker's birthday (we will be doing stuff together a lot this weekend as well) with a group from Alabama.

Some Pictures From Beautiful Antigua!

Serving Children With Cerebral Palsy

This morning there was a small earthquake! We chose to serve in a orphanage where almost every child has cerebral palsy. It was amazing to see the way that so may children live. I am so very thankful that I get to live a life so wonderful compared to these beautiful children. We helped bottle feed the children, play with them and pray. A few were older than Ryker but look as though they were only 5 years old. Oh yes it is Ryker's birthday today, what an amazing experience on your birthday! I am sorry, but we weren't able to to take pictures so we sadly don't have any. We are excited to eat dinner with a group from Alabama that were volunteering also. Kayla and Lauren, both 11, are the two that I espically spend time with. We will also be having dinner with them tonight as well! I am missing you all so much!

Caye Caulker

Wow I love Caye Caulker! We have had so much fun finding numerous conch shells, going snorkeling, swimming with stingrays (that I was too scared to do), opening coconuts with our new friend Keith, and so much more. I have seen I think only 5 or 6 cars and the rest are all golf carts, it's pretty cool! This morning we headed to a coffee shop that serves Starbucks. I never thought there would be one down here! I am getting pumped for my dad to arrive tomorrow... Yay! I took a picture from where I am sitting upstairs at the hotel by the beach...and look what there is! There are so many of these iguanas around. There is seriously only one kind of hot sauce in the restaurants in Central America.
